Garden Medley and Orange Sheba

This is the Pyrex Garden Medley bake&carry 475 casserole dish, without the quilted cozy wrap! Released in 1981 a year after I was born! Ebay $9

I found this set of mid century modern fine china made in Japan the other day, I couldn't pass it up as it really reminds me of Cathrineholm lotus! The pattern is called Orange Sheba and it's made by Thomas&Co and marked Japan.

Pyrex Pink Space Saver Tower, Scrolls, Daisys and Snowflakes

My absolute favorite color of Pyrex........PINK! The space saver 575 and 548 are some of my most favorite casserole dishes to find in the thrifts and purchase on Ebay and Etsy!

The bottom pink scrolls was found at VV for $3, I spotted it from 10 feet away and literally RAN to it, several other shoppers witnessed this and turned to look LOL I did not care! IT IS PINK AND RARE AND $3! I am usually very civilized at the thrift stores as well as polite and non pushy :)

The next two pink scrolls were Ebay purchases, $15 and $19, not bad considering it's a rarer pattern and they are both in mint condition, though minus lids. The 575 pink daisy was from my glass lady and came with the stand so I paid a tad more for it which is fine considering I don't have to pay shipping. The 548 smaller pink daisy was found at VV for $3 and the RAREST of the rare Pink Snowflake JAJ and was produced in England, I found it at VV for $9. I would still like to add a charcoal snowflake 548, white and black rooster promo 575 and possibly some turquoise snowflakes too!

I have 3 lids total and really need to find more of these considering I have 8 space savers (charcoal snowflake and golden acorn) So the search continues!

House Beast

This is Bean my house beast, she is a Brussels Griffon and Boston Terrier mix. She is my little clown and my pride and joy! And yes her eyes are boggled lol she comes by it honestly though as her mother had crooked eyes too lol! When we were first deciding on a puppy we were emailing back and forth with the breeder because she lived in a province over, she sent pictures of Bean and pictures of her mom and her dad, I remember looking at the picture of her mom thinking hmmm her eyes look strange, so I enlarged it on my computer and the breeder had actually added black dots to her eyes to make them look straight LOL hahaha we laughed!

Festivo, Fire King and Danish Brass

I first headed to my favorite VV where I found the adorable turquoise banded Fire King bowls, I did some research and couldn't find any information on the pattern. There were a few other items at this VV that would have made it into the cart if I had a few more dollars (didn't want to blow my whole budget)

So on to the Salvation Army I went, your dollar can really stretch there, much more than VV and the Thrift shops. The Festivo candlesticks were found there, and the awesome brass Made in Denmark for Scanmalay candlestick/vases also from Salvation Army.

I then headed home and dropped by the Thrift shop closest to my home and found the crocodile leather Brown's handbag (higher end Canadian store) and the little yellow Hazal Atlas sugar dish!

Fire King Peach Blossom and Metropolis Robots

Retro desk lamp and fabrics

Fire King Peach blossom fridge containers, frosted icicle vase, butterfly wing decorative plate

An interesting mish mash of finds today! I found some cute colorful fabrics from VV! I plan on using them as dish towels and possibly getting the pink tablecloth cut into dish towels or napkins. These are my first Fire King fridge dishes, I am really liking the peach blossom gay fad design from VV. I don't know much about the clear frosted vase other than it's marking of Halo Scotland on the bottom from VV. And the butterfly wing decorative dish is much prettier in person, much brighter with iridescent flashes of blue and purple, it is sad to think that all of those lovely butterflies died, hopefully not for the sake of the dish!VV, the lamp was also from VV and will look great in my spare bedroom or office.

FOHL bauhaus German candleholder, Michael Lax Copco teak pot, royal blue enamel colander

My favorite find of the day was a Copco pot designed by Michael Lax, the teak is beautiful and will make boiling a pot of water so much more interesting! I also have a beautiful aluminum bowl designed by him from VV. The Bauhaus FOHL candlestick holder is also a favorite and I picked it up at VV, solid brass and gorgeous! The two blue napkins were from VV and the vintage royal blue enamel colander was from Goodwill.

Italian leather smoking slippers and Nine West coral patent T-Straps both from VV

Metropolis clip on earrings

I am not one to search the jewellery sections of the thrift shops, too tedious and just too much to look at lol, but I've been on the search for Cathrineholm enamel rings and earring so I've been poking around the jewellery section the odd time when I am not in a rush. I found these awesome silver colored art deco clip on earrings, they remind me of the robot Maria from the German expressionist sci-fi Metropolis!
